The VIVA Entourage

The “Entourage Effect” is a theory that multiple cannabis compounds (cannabinoids and terpenes) can work together to create a variety of effects, and is a commonly used term in the cannabis world. You can learn a little more about it here.

Due to the varied effects these combinations can provide, the over-used categories of indica and sativa don’t really accurately describe the range of VIVA strains. So we came up with our own method.

After years of scientific testing and user feedback, VIVA has developed our own Animal Entourage to help symbolize and characterize the experience of our strains.

Each animal has been attached to a strain/product based on both the characteristics of the animal and the effects of the product.

For example: The Ocelot is a fast and high-energy animal, so the Ocelot cartridge is a fast and high-energy experience. The Orca is a “flowy” and active animal, so the Orca cartridge is flowy and active. You can find a full list of Entourage Animal descriptions below.

VIVA Entourage Spectrum

We have divided our THCV hybrid strains into two tiers of animals: those with higher percentages of THCV on the top tier, and those with higher percentages of THC on the bottom tier. The spectrum ranges from strains that make you feel energized, active, and alert, to those that put you in hibernation for chilled relaxation.

Ten of our entourage animals represent the categories of flower and resin, and three represent edibles.

Live Resin Tier:

Hummingbird - a highly buzzed and active state

Ocelot - a focused and active state

Meerkat - a balanced and aware state

Koala - a balanced and relaxed state

Gorilla - a chilled and restful state

Tarsier - an eyes-wide-open, trippy state

Orca - a flowing and active state

Chameleon - a balanced mind and body state

Panda - a relaxed and chilled state

Black Bear - a state of restful hibernation

Edible Tier:

Honeybee - a buzzed and active state

Raven - a balanced and soaring state

Rabbit - a trip down the rabbit hole
